Olivia,
Please call the Parish Office at 723-5288 and speak to Judy or Joyce. They will tell you the steps that need to be taken to baptize your daughter.

Your question seems to reveal a common misunderstanding among Catholics who have not been attending Mass for some time and also for all others.
When we gather to celebrate Mass each day, all are welcome. Though only Catholics currently in good standing receive communion, everyone is welcome to be with us to worship. Catholics who wish to return to full communion with the Church should visit with a priest and if they have not received the sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession), this is a consideration so that they may receive Christ in Communion.
Masses on weekends here at Sacred Heart are 5PM Saturday,
8AM, 10AM and noon Sundays. A Catholic trying to reestablish their life in the faith should visit with a priest for guidance in renewing their spiritual journey with the Church.
We welcome you and your husband to join us in our Sunday celebration and hope we will have the opportunity to meet you soon.

One thought is that you should be the best "you" that you can be.

From Deacon Roland:
This is from the writings of Jean-Pierre de Caussade "Abandonment to Divine Providence"
"If the business of becoming holy seems to present insufferable difficulties, it is merely because we have a wrong idea about it. In reality, holiness consists of one thing only: complete loyalty to God's will. Now everyone can practice this loyalty, actively or passively.
To be actively loyal means obeying the laws of God and the church and fulfilling all the duties imposed on us by our way of life. Passive loyalty means that we lovingly accept all that God sends us at each moment of the day"

I think this is a start for anyone desiring to be saintly (holy). How quickly can we decide to follow this path?

Hi,
In one of his books, Scott Hahn quotes Pope JP II (I believe) at an open event, 'Make yourselves saints, and do so quickly'. I've tried to locate the that quote in context but cannot find it. What I'm ultimately interested in is how does the Catholic church propose that people do that? It can't just be keeping all the sacraments... How would you instruct someone to 'make themselves a saint quickly'?
Thank you,
Mike
