The children of Nuestra Señora del Carmen School in Patzún, Guatemala, just started a new school year Thurs., Jan. 14. 2021. The hopes and expectations of the children are up because hey will be able to go to the school in person and be with the Sisters, teachers and friends. Sacred Heart had sponsors for 103 children in the 2020 school year. For 2021, we lost about 15 sponsors. We need to find new sponsors for the 15 children that will not be able to attend school if we don’t find sponsors for them for the 2021 school year. Pray and consider becoming sponsors. Adoration on Wednesdays only is back, from 12:45pm – 8pm Benediction is at 7:45 pm in the main church. We will be adoring every Wednesday, except Wed., Dec. 30, 2020, in the main church, so please sign up for a regular weekly hour. We will need at least 3 people signed up per hour. The doors will be locked the entire time. We will need one person each hour designated to sit in the back and let people in who knock on the door. New Beginnings Divorce Recovery Program is offering a free virtual retreat Sept. 11-12 and invites God’s children throughout the world to join for a weekend of healing and hope for all people who have suffered the pain and isolation of divorce. There will be guest speakers, panel discussions, celebration of the Mass, and opportunities for quiet time of reflection in virtual prayer rooms. The Center’s 2020 Walk-For-Life will be a Virtual Walk for Life from 9 am to 11 am Sat., Sept., 12 at The Center, 4011 Seymour Hwy, Wichita Falls. Participants can drive through and receive a Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuit, walk-for-life favors, fill out registrations and drop off donations. Participants can walk at their own chosen locations and with a group or without a group. The choices are up to them. Rachel Ministries is hosting the first ever virtual Rachel Retreat, for those needing healing from abortion, on September 11-13. The Spring 2020 Come & See Weekend will take place at St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, LA. This vocations weekend retreat is scheduled for April 3-5, 2020 for young men 16 years and older who are in high school and college in the Diocese of Fort Worth.
